  Welcome to our second fully vetted show, NOW 3 DAYS, new date, judges and venue (Yate in South Gloucestershire). Our theme this year will be Scrumpy, Pies and Pasties and all things that make the South West a great destination for lovers of food and drink. Yate is a great destination and is equal distance between the Roman city of Bath and Bristol. Our aim will be to build on last year to make this a memorable show for all our exhibitors and vendors. Subject to entries we hope to hold a female congress and our seminar on Saturday this year will be; Toygers which will be presented by expert breeder, Gill Heaton.

SHOW HOURS & VETTING IN

This is a fully Vetted show. Official vet for the show; Vikki Moran. Vetting in will be 3 pm on Friday 3 March 2017, 8.00am 9.00am on Saturday and 8.30 am-9.00 am on Sunday.

Judging will start at 4 pm on Friday and 9.30 am prompt Saturday and Sunday.

SPECIAL AWARDS*

Special rosettes will be awarded to any Cat and Alter who Supremes' during the show

 

Advertised show hours on Saturday and Sunday are until 5pm. In consideration of our paying spectators, no cats may be removed from the show hall before the end of advertised show hours without the show manager's permission.

  SPECIAL AWARDS*

Special rosettes will be awarded to any Cat, Alter or HHP that Supremes' during the show.

At end of the third day we will review the interim results from each final and award Best in Show Trophies and Rosettes to the owners of the Cat, Kitten, Alter and HHP. Special rosettes will also be awarded to 2 nd and 3 rd places of each Class too.

Each BiS category winner will be automatically entered into Overall Best in Show, the cats and their owners will be called forward to the ring to be assessed by our head judge, the winner will be awarded the Marley's Song Memorial Trophy,

They do not confirm nor are intended to replace the official TICA standings published by the TICA Executive Office.

SHOW RULES

TICA Show Rules will be strictly enforced. By entering , all exhibitors agree that entry fees are non-refundable, they will be due and payable even if entry is cancelled and agree to abide by the decisions of the Judges and Show Committee and any additional stipulations in this flyer. Official Show Rules can be obtained for $7.00 from TICA, P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551 or from www.tica.org

No substitutions can be made after the Closing Date 24 February 2017. No cats entered for Saturday only can be entered on Sunday as well after the show has started.

Some of the rules that govern exhibitors are:

  • All claws of each entry shall be clipped prior to benching. Failure to do so may subject entry to disqualification.
  • Exhibitors shall not sit in the ring holding cats prior to or during judging except with the explicit permission of the judge.
  • An exhibitor shall not, in any way, make known to an officiating judge which entry(ies) belong to him.
  • An exhibitor shall not, in any way, make it known to an officiating judge where his entry(ies) have placed in any other ring.
  • An exhibitor shall not request that his entry(ies) be judged separately from the regular class(es) for the entry(ies).
  • An exhibitor shall not take any action which might cause physical harm to come to a cat or a person, during the show.
  • An exhibitor shall not groom an entry while it is in the judging ring.
  • If a cat requires special caging in a judging ring, the exhibitor shall relay this information to the ring clerk before the cat's number is posted and in time for special arrangements to be made without inconveniencing any other cats and/or exhibitors

BENCHING

  The club will provide Double spaces (4' x 2'). Two cats or 3 kittens, entered by the same exhibitor, may be put in the same double pen, subject to payment of appropriate charges. Vending from the benching area is prohibited, there will be no cats/kittens for sale allowed in the show hall. Litter bins will be provided but please bring your own litter and trays, cat food, dishes, and cage curtains (optional). If you do not have your own suitable pen please book a wire pen.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Flash Photography is not permitted near the judging rings, please ensure you have the permission of the owner before photographing any cats

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

  Cats showing signs of ear mites, fleas, fungus, or any other illness will not be permitted in the show hall. All exhibitors must present an up to date vaccination record for Feline Enteritis and Cat Flu at check in. Any cat or kitten from a house or cattery where there has been fungus or any infectious or contagious illness within 21 days prior to the opening date of the show is ineligible for entry and/or exhibition. Any cat which is obviously pregnant or lactating will be disqualified.

 All claws (front and back) must be clipped prior to judging

 REGISTRATION

  With the exception of New Breeds and New Traits registration with TICA is not necessary to compete in a cat's first show, but is required for confirmation of titles and scoring for TICA Regional and International awards . TICA membership year runs from May to May so membership taken out in 2014 at any time will last until May 2015 when it will need to be renewed

  HOUSEHOLD PETS

  HHPs over 8 months of age must be spayed or neutered. HHPs are judged in all rings and in order to claim titles, regional and international awards they must be registered with TICA.

  KITTENS

  Kittens entered in the show must be at least 4 calendar months, but less than 8 months of age on the day of the show. Altered kittens are eligible for entry.

By Air: Airports in commuting distance are Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham and Heathrow.

By Rail: The nearest railway station is Yate

By Road:

From the South (Exeter/Taunton) M4 Junction 18 A36 North

From Channel Tunnel: M20, M25, M4 Junction 18

Regrettably, the club cannot provide transport.

LIABILITY

Fantastica All Breed Cat Club and Yate Leisure Centre will not be held liable for injury, loss, or damage to cats, exhibitors, or property of exhibitors or vendors, or other such persons or property in attendance.

  ENTRY FEES

No entry will be processed until payment is received or an arrangement made with the Entry Clerk. Any early bird (EB) entries not paid by the closing dates will revert to normal prices. Any payments not received by the closing date will incur the tardy turtle fee.
