Welcome to our third fully vetted show, NOW 20 RINGS OVER 3 DAYS, new date, judges and venue (Swindon in Wiltshire). Our theme will again be Scrumpy, Pies and Pasties and all things that make the South West a great destination for lovers of food and drink. Swindon is a great destination for designer clothing and railway enthusiasts and is equal distance between Bristol and Reading. Our aim will be to build on last year to make this a memorable show for all our exhibitors and vendors..

This is a fully Vetted show. Vetting in will be from 3pm to 3:45pm on Friday 9th March 2018, 8.00am 9.00am on Saturday and 8.30 am-9.00 am on Sunday.

Advertised show hours on Saturday and Sunday are until 5pm. In consideration of our paying spectators, no cats may be removed from the show hall before the end of advertised show hours without the show manager's permission.

BEST IN SHOW (BiS) TROPHIES, CAT FOOD, SPECIAL PRIZES AND ROSETTES WILL BE AWARDED TO THE BEST CAT, KITTEN, ALTER AND HHP. SPECIAL ROSETTES AND PLATES WILL ALSO BE AWARDED TO 2ND AND 3RD PLACES FROM EACH CLASS.

 

EACH BEST IN SHOW CATEGORY WINNERS WILL ALSO BE AUTOMATICALLY ENTERED INTO OVERALL BEST IN SHOW, TO BE ASSESSED BY ONE OF OUR JUDGES, THE WINNER WILL BE AWARDED THE MARLEY'S SONG MEMORIAL TROPHY, OVERALL BIS ROSETTE , BAG OF FOOD AND OTHER GOODIES

 

SHOW RULES

SHOW RULES TICA Show Rules will be strictly enforced. By entering , all exhibitors agree that entry fees are non-refundable, they will be due and payable even if entry is cancelled and agree to abide by the decisions of the Judges and Show Committee and any additional stipulations in this flyer. Official Show Rules can be obtained for $7.00 from TICA, P.O. Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551 or from www.tica.org No substitutions can be made after the Closing Date 26 th February 2018 . No cats entered for one day only, can then be entered for more days after the show has started .

Some of the rules that govern exhibitors are:

  • All claws of each entry shall be clipped prior to benching. Failure to do so may subject entry to disqualification.
  • Exhibitors shall not sit in the ring holding cats prior to or during judging except with the explicit permission of the judge.
  • An exhibitor shall not, in any way, make known to an officiating judge which entry(ies) belong to him.
  • An exhibitor shall not, in any way, make it known to an officiating judge where his entry(ies) have placed in any other ring.
  • An exhibitor shall not request that his entry(ies) be judged separately from the regular class(es) for the entry(ies).
  • An exhibitor shall not take any action which might cause physical harm to come to a cat or a person, during the show.
  • An exhibitor shall not groom an entry while it is in the judging ring.
  • If a cat requires special caging in a judging ring, the exhibitor shall relay this information to the ring clerk before the cat's number is posted and in time for special arrangements to be made without inconveniencing any other cats and/or exhibitors

BENCHING

  The club will provide Double spaces (4' x 2'). Two cats or 3 kittens, entered by the same exhibitor, may be put in the same double pen, subject to payment of appropriate charges. Vending from the benching area is prohibited, there will be no cats/kittens for sale allowed in the show hall. Litter bins will be provided but please bring your own litter and trays, cat food, dishes, and cage curtains (optional). If you do not have your own suitable pen please book a wire pen.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Flash Photography is not permitted near the judging rings, please ensure you have the permission of the owner before photographing any cats

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

  Cats showing signs of ear mites, fleas, fungus, or any other illness will not be permitted in the show hall. All exhibitors must present an up to date vaccination record for Feline Enteritis and Cat Flu at check in. Any cat or kitten from a house or cattery where there has been fungus or any infectious or contagious illness within 21 days prior to the opening date of the show is ineligible for entry and/or exhibition. Any cat which is obviously pregnant or lactating will be disqualified.

 All claws (front and back) must be clipped prior to judging

 REGISTRATION

  With the exception of New Breeds and New Traits registration with TICA is not necessary for your; Cat, Kitten, Alter or HHP to compete in first show, but is required for confirmation of titles and scoring for TICA Regional and International awards .

INDIVIDUAL TICA MEMBERSHIP

Membership of TICA allows access to a number of benefits for exhibitors, membership runs from 1 st May to March 31 st , so if it is taken out in the May the previous year or in any month thereafter it will expire in May. It is possible to buy extended membership for several years, details of TICA memberships and the options available can be found on the TICA web site, www.tica.org Please note membership of TICA is membership of the organisation, not membership of an individual club, which is always optional.

  HOUSEHOLD PETS

  HHPs over 8 months of age must be spayed or neutered. HHPs are judged in all rings and in order to claim titles, regional and international awards they must be registered with TICA.

  KITTENS

  Kittens entered in the show must be at least 4 calendar months, but less than 8 months of age on the day of the show. Altered kittens are eligible for entry.

From East/Channel Tunnel: M20, M25, M4 Junction 15

Regrettably, the club cannot provide transport.

 

LIABILITY

Fantastica All Breed Cat Club and /or the venue will not be held liable for injury, loss, or damage to; cats, vehicles, exhibitors, or property of exhibitors or vendors, or other such persons or property in attendance.

  CLERKS/ASSISTANCE

  If you would like to clerk, steward or otherwise help with the show you will be most welcome, please get in touch with the Show Manager. Clerks are vital to the efficient running of any show and are offered free lunch on Saturday and Sunday plus a Free Entry if clerking for all 3 days or if you prefer remuneration of £75. For anyone clerking one or two days, remuneration of £25 per day plus free lunch is offered.

  ENTRY FEES

No entry will be processed until payment is received or an arrangement made with the Entry Clerk. Any early bird (EB) entries not paid by the closing dates will revert to normal prices. Any payments not received by the closing date will incur the tardy turtle fee.
